My role
My background is in graphic design, which shapes how I approach learning design now. I work across a wide range of learning formats, online courses and modules, interactive presentations, printed guides and posters, for compliance, operational and specialist training audiences. I choose the format based on what the learning actually needs.
At Fire and Emergency New Zealand, I design learning for both operational and non-operational staff, working with subject matter experts from station crews to national advisers to translate hard-won operational expertise into learning that holds up under assessment and on the fireground.
